What's the difference between Loestrin 20 and 30?

Loestrin 20 and 30 are Combined Oral Contraceptive (COC) Pills which contain different levels of the synthetic oestrogen hormone.

Both pills contain Norethisterone (a type of progestogen) but they have different levels of Ethinyloestradiol (20mcg or 30 mcg) (a synthetic oestrogen).

Loestrin 20 and 30 are no longer being manufactured. There are currently no pills available in the UK with exactly the same formulation, but alternative COC pills with slightly different formulations are still available.
